Cruise Overview

Nights Three through Nine – Aboard the Norwegian Escape
September 10 – Depart Omaha / Arrive in New York City
Depart this morning from one of our pick-up points to Omaha’s Eppley Airfield. Today, we’ll arrive at one of New York City’s metro airports and transfer to our Times Square accommodations for a lovely two-night stay! Take some time to relax and freshen up before enjoying a delicious welcome dinner together in the city. (D)
September 11 – New York City Sightseeing
This morning we meet our local step-on guide for a full day of enjoying New York City’s must-see attractions! Activities include a Central Park Walking Tour, Driving Tour of Harlem and the Museum Mile, visits to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal and access to the Top of the Rock Observation Deck! The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy your centralized location at your leisure. (B)
September 12 – National 9/11 Memorial & Museum / Embark the Norwegian Escape
Check out and depart this morning for a visit to the must-see National 9/11 Memorial & Museum, which tells the story of 9/11 through media, narratives, and a collection of monumental and authentic artifacts. We’ll also visit the Financial District, including Wall Street and “The Bull” before arriving at the NYC Cruise Terminal to board the amazing Norwegian Escape! Part of the Breakaway-class, the NCL Escape offers the ultimate escape with luxurious accommodations and delicious cuisine. Spend the rest of the day exploring your home for the next seven nights. Cruise departs port at 4:00 p.m. (B, D)
September 13 – Cruising at Sea
Enjoy the many amenities on your last day aboard the Norwegian Escape while cruising at sea today! (B, L, D)
September 14 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
Admire the rugged coastline that surrounds Halifax, the world’s second-largest natural harbor. This beautifully preserved city is Nova Scotia’s capital and was founded in 1749. Take steps through history and climb The Citadel to witness the Old Town Clock. (B, L, D)
September 15 – Saint John, Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick
Saint John’s history is evident in its weather-worn look, passing the tests of salt air, sea winds and a devastating fire that have all contributed to making Saint John the greatest little city in the east. Be sure to look for your ship in the port against the beauty of the Bay of Fundy from Fort Howe lookout. (B, L, D)
September 16 – Boston, Massachusetts
Welcome to an American city where history truly does come to life. Be sure to visit Bunker Hill Monument, Paul Revere’s House, the Old North Church, Quincy Market and the mansions of Beacon Hill. Then wander Boston Commons, the oldest public park in the U.S. (B, L, D)
September 17 – Portland, Maine
Portland offers all the amenities of a big city: art districts, a vibrant waterfront, museums, parks and diverse shopping opportunities. But within minutes, you can be enjoying the view from a historic lighthouse or tasting a juicy, local lobster. (B, L, D)
September 18 – Newport, Rhode Island
During the 19th century, Newport served as the summer playground for the rich and famous. Residents displayed their fabulous wealth in the form of palatial estates overlooking the Atlantic. Today, these extraordinary and meticulously maintained homes line the city’s famed “Mansion Row” and are a must-see for any visitor. (B, L, D)
September 19 – Disembark in New York City / Return Home
After one last breakfast on board, say goodbye to the Norwegian Escape upon arrival back in New York City this morning. After we disembark, we’ll transfer to one of NYC’s metro airports for our return flight home. (B)
