July 26 – Welcome / Chicago Metro
Welcome to your Moostash Joe Tour! Meet us at one of our many convenient pick-up points this morning and head east! Get to know your fellow travelers today en route to the Chicago metro, where we’ll be overnight and enjoy an evening meal together next to our hotel. (D)
July 27 – Travel Day / Niagara Falls
Continue east today through the rolling hills of Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and New York. Early this evening we arrive in the city of Niagara Falls, New York and check-in to our centralized overnight accommodations just a few steps from Niagara Falls and the American Falls Viewing Area! You are free this evening to spend at your leisure and to gaze out at one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Don’t forget, every evening at dusk, Niagara Falls comes alive and illuminates with brilliant color! (B)
July 28 – Niagara Falls / Watertown, NY
This morning is complete with the areas must-do activities. First, we head to the Maid of the Mist to get up close and personal and feel the power of Niagara Falls during this unforgettable experience! This 30-minute boat tour gets as close as possible to the American Falls and Horseshoe Falls, all while feeling the thundering roar and amazing mist that comes along with it! This afternoon we continue our travels and make our way to Watertown, NY where we’ll be overnight. (B, L)
July 29 – Cold Hollow Cider Mill / Morse Farms Maple Sugarworks
Today’s drive takes us through beautiful Upstate New York and Vermont’s scenic Green Mountains to New Hampshire’s famed White Mountains. We’ll make a stop at Cold Hollow Cider Mill for an opportunity to buy authentic Vermont goods including a boxed lunch upon arrival. Then we make our way out to the country to Morse Farms Maple Sugarworks. Offering over 200 years of maple experience, we’ll learn about this eight generation family business and their impact on the maple syrup industry, along with a delicious treat! Tonight finds us in the quaint community of North Conway, NH and free time to spend the evening at your leisure. (B, L)
July 30 – The CAT High Speed Ferry
This morning’s drive takes us to Bar Harbor, Maine and our first look at the Atlantic Ocean! Spend a bit of time here to explore this beautiful coastal town before boarding The CAT! When a journey from Maine to Nova Scotia calls, the open ocean answers. The CAT High Speed Ferry travels nature’s finest short cut, from Bar Harbor, Maine to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in just 3 1/2 hours! Enjoy the afternoon on the water and arrive this evening in Yarmouth, where we’ll be overnight. (B)
July 31 – Yarmouth, NS / Halifax, NS
After a leisurely morning we meet our local step-on guide for a tour of this important port town before our scenic drive through Nova Scotia to Halifax, Nova Scotia’s capital and largest municipality, where you’ll have free time to enjoy our centralized accommodations. (B)
August 1 – Halifax, NS / Peggy’s Cove
This morning we acquaint ourselves with Halifax, Nova Scotia’s oldest and most culturally diverse city with our local, step-on guide. See its beautiful waterfront area as well as many other must-see sights. Later this morning we head out to picturesque Peggy’s Cove located on the rocky shores of the Northern Atlantic. Make sure to grab your cameras and snap a shot at Peggy’s Point Lighthouse, the most photographed lighthouse in Canada and one of the most recognizable in the world! Here we also enjoy a delicious meal overlooking the unpredictable ocean surf before continuing onto scenic Cape Breton Island and our two-night stay at the Inverary Resort with an evening meal together. August 2 – Cabot Trail / Whale Watching Cruise
Unforgettable scenery awaits! Today we travel along the world-renowned Cabot Trail with our local step-on guide. The Cabot Trail winds around Cape Breton Highlands National Park through charming small villages and some of the most spectacular coastal scenery anywhere. A picnic lunch along the way will also be provided for a relaxing look at this incredible landscape. Also today, weather permitting, we’ll take part in a whale watching cruise! Pleasant Bay is one of the most spectacular whale watching places in the world. Many different whale specials can be seen here, including Minke, Sperm, Blue, Humpbacks and world’s largest population of Northern Long fin Pilot Whale. You’ll also have the opportunity to see Cape Breton’s other amazing sea life, including bald eagles, grey seals, leatherback turtles and more! Today we’ll also take time to visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site, one of the most popular attractions in Canada. (B, L, D)
August 3 – Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Today’s travels take us to Prince Edward Island via our 75-minute ferry ride on the Northumberland Strait. Early this evening we arrive in Charlottetown, the capital and largest city of Prince Edward Island and enjoy an evening meal together after checking into our accommodations for the next two nights. August 4 – Prince Edward Island
Today features a full-day guided tour of Prince Edward Island! See its most famous sights such as Prince Edward Island National Park, the Anne of Green Gables Museum along with the islands sandy beaches, quaint villages and scenic woodlands. No visit to Prince Edward Island is complete without a visit to the world famous Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 15 Restaurant for their Lobster Supper, where we’ll enjoy fresh lobster in the shell! (B, D)
August 5 – Hopewell Rocks / Bay of Fundy
This morning we cross the 8-mile long Confederation Bridge, linking Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick, Canada. Enjoy lunch at High Tide Cafe, located alongside the Bay of Fundy, known having the world’s highest tides, as well as a guided tour of Hopewell Rocks, formed by the Bay’s tidal erosion. Continue onto Fredericton, New Brunswick where we’ll be overnight and enjoy an evening meal at our hotel. (B, L, D)
August 6 – Quebec City, Quebec
Today’s drive takes us to Quebec City, one of the oldest European cities in North America. A late afternoon arrival leaves plenty of time to stroll down the old cobblestone streets of Old Quebec at your leisure. (B)
August 7 – Toronto, Ontario
Continue to the west today with our travels ending in Toronto, the most populous city in Canada, and enjoy an evening meal together. (B, D)
August 8 – United States / Chicago Metro
Welcome back to the United States! We’ll cross back into the United States near Detroit, MI and continue to the Chicago Metro for our overnight stay and farewell dinner. (B, D)
August 9 – Return Home
Spend one last day reminiscing with your fellow travelers and newly made friends from your tour to beautiful Nova Scotia and the Eastern Provinces of Canada! Say goodbye as you arrive back at your initial pick-up points this evening. (B)
