October 16 – Oregon Coast
Enjoy a day along the Oregon coast! We’ll begin our day with a visit to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. Home to creatures great and small, you’ll discover a new world living under the sea and along the coastline. Later we’ll board Marine Discovery Cruises’ m/v Discovery for our cruise along Yaquina Bay, where sea life from the bay is brought aboard the boat and shared by a naturalist, who provides information about the bay’s unique ecosystem. In the afternoon, an optional visit to the Yaquina Head Lighthouse provides the opportunity to visit Oregon’s tallest lighthouse and explore nearby tidal pools. Tonight, dinner is served overlooking the bayfront. (B, D)
October 17 – Game Day
It’s game day! Make sure to wear plenty of red today as we make the drive to Eugene and the game between Nebraska and Oregon! Depending on the game time, fun game day activities will be included. Following the game we’ll head north toward Portland where we’ll spend the next two nights and enjoy an evening meal together. (B, D)

Today finds us in Portland! Enjoy the day full of it’s must-do activities. We’ll begin with a brief city tour before boarding the Portland Spirit for a scenic brunch cruise on the Willamette River, with Portland’s skyline and its many bridges passing you by. In the afternoon, we’ll pay a visit to Portland’s amazing International Rose Test Garden, featuring over 10,000 individual rose bushes representing more than 610 different varieties. Established in 1917, it is the oldest continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States, with 10 to 20 new varieties added for testing annually. Nearby, discover the Portland Japanese Garden, poclaimed to be the most beautiful and authentic Japanese garden outside of Japan and one of Oregon’s most beloved spaces. (BR)
October 19 – Multnomah Falls / Return Home
It’s time to fly home, but not before a visit to Multnomah Falls, the highest in Oregon, located at the entrance to the Columbia River Gorge. Observe the falls from ground level or choose to walk to the arched bridge above the upper and lower pools. Then we head for Portland International Airport for our return flight back to Omaha. Say goodbye to your fellow travelers and newly made friends with many great memories of our time in Oregon as you arrive back at your initial pick-up points with hopefully a Husker W! (B)
