Day 1 – Mount Rushmore Evening Lighting Ceremony
Welcome to your Moostash Joe Tour! Today’s travels take us across South Dakota into the beautiful Black Hills. Arrive this evening in the fun town of Keystone, where we’ll be overnight. Then, head over to nearby Mount Rushmore National Memorial for free time to explore, and at dusk, enjoy the Mount Rushmore Evening Lighting Ceremony! (D)
Day 2 – Bozeman, MT
Head out of the Black Hills this morning en route to today’s final destination – Bozeman, Montana. Here, enjoy the company of your fellow travelers over an evening meal together along with a good nights rest! (B, D)
Day 3 – Coeur d’Alene Sunset Dinner Cruise
Continue west today through Big Sky Country of Montana. We make a stop at Berkeley Pit Viewing Stand in Butte, MT for a glimpse of the enormous former copper-mine now flooded with water. Later this afternoon arrive in the beautiful town of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Then we head out for an evening on the water on scenic Lake Coeur d’Alene for our Sunset Dinner Cruise. Sure to be one of your favorites, this two-hour dinner cruise features exquisite cuisine and unforgettable views. (B, D)
Day 4 – Columbia River Gorge / Multnomah Falls
Today’s drive takes us to the stunning Columbia River Gorge and Multnomah Falls. We’ll meet our local, step-on guide and have plenty of time this afternoon to stop and enjoy this 600-foot-tall must-see cascade of icy water! This evening finds us near Portland, OR where we’ll sit down and enjoy dinner together. (B, D)
Day 5 – Portland / Pacific Ocean
This morning we enjoy a step-on guided city tour of “America’s Rose City” – Portland, OR – including a stop at the International Rose Test Gardens. Then it’s out to the coast! On our way we’ll stop at Otter Rock and Devil’s Punchbowl, where the surf is anything but calm. Tonight’s beach-side accommodations are in Newport, allowing a chance to enjoy the evening at your leisure. (B)
Day 6 – Oregon Coast Sightseeing
Today, enjoy a full day of guided sightseeing along the awesome Oregon Coast! Stops include Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, Cape Perpetua, and a beautiful look of the famed Oregon Dunes. Our day ends in Grants Pass, OR and an evening to spend at your leisure. (B)
Day 7 – Crater Lake National Park
Today, enjoy a full day guided trip to spectacular Crater Lake National Park! Characterized by Moostash Joe as “the most scenic sight I’ve ever seen”, Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States and one of the most pristine on earth. You’re sure to be amazed by its striking sky blue waters and stunning setting atop the Cascade Mountain Range. (B)
Day 8 – Rogue River Hellgate Jetboat Excursion / Redwood National Park
This morning board your exciting, comfortable Rogue River Hellgate Jetboat Excursion! This one-hour journey on the scenic Rogue River is the perfect touch of history, wildlife and breathtaking views of the legendary Hellgate Canyon. Continue south through the towering Redwoods of Redwoods National and State Parks, stopping for photos along the way. (B, D)
Day 9 – “Avenue of the Giants” / Alcatraz Night Tour
This morning’s drive takes us to the “Avenue of the Giants” – the world-famous 31-mile scenic drive through over 50,000 acres of redwood groves! The “Avenue” is consistently ranked as one of the most scenic drives in the world and is included in the book, “1,000 Places to See Before You Die.” Then, this afternoon, we’ll cross the iconic Golden Gate Bridge as we enter San Francisco. Enjoy a bit of time at your leisure to enjoy your great location along Fisherman’s Wharf before we head back out for our Night Tour of Alcatraz Island! Hear compelling stories about the Island’s history as you tour the notorious prison as night falls, which also features breathtaking views of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. (B)
Day 10 – San Francisco City Tour / Reno, NV
Our local, step-on tour guide takes us around San Francisco this morning, showing us it’s must-see spots and telling us its fascinating history. Then, head out of “The City by the Bay” en route to Reno, NV where we’ll be overnight along with an opportunity to try your luck! (B, D)
Day 11 – Salt Lake City, UT
Today’s travels take us through Nevada and past the Great Salt Lake into Salt Lake City. En route, we’ll make a stop to see Utah’s amazing Bonneville Salt Flats – the perfect spot for achieving land speed records with over 30,000 acres of perfectly flat terrain. Tonight enjoy the company of your fellow travelers over an evening meal together. (D)
Day 12 – Laramie, WY
Sit back and relax today as we continue east, finishing the day in Laramie, WY with a farewell dinner at a local favorite spot. (B, D)
Day 13 – Return Home
Spend one last day reminiscing with your fellow travelers and newly made friends about your Great Pacific Coast Adventure! Say goodbye as you arrive back at your initial pick-up points this evening. (B)
