Day 1 – Welcome / Fond du Lac, WI

Welcome to your Moostash Joe Tour! Meet us at one of our many convenient pick-up points as we make our way towards the “Badger State.” Early this evening we arrive in Fond du Lac and enjoy an evening meal together at our hotel. Rest up because tomorrow finds us in beautiful Door County! (D)

Day 2 – Door County, WI

This morning we continue north to Sturgeon Bay, the gateway to Door County and meet our local, step-on guide who will be with us for the entirety of our time here! Door County, WI is year-after-year one of the top destinations in the United States. With over 300 miles of shoreline, thousands of acres of orchards, five state parks and 19 unique communities and is soon to be one of your favorites! We’ll enjoy free time to dine, shop and explore the village of Egg Harbor before touring one of Door County’s historic lighthouses, Eagle Bluff. Sitting atop a bluff in Peninsula State Park, Eagle Bluff Lighthouse offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding area and of tranquil Green Bay. Then we’ll stop at Ephriam Lavender Shop to browse their unique variety of products surrounding this fragrant flower which usually peak in July! Later this afternoon we arrive and check-in for our two-night stay in Door County at the wonderful Open Hearth Lodge in Sister Bay. (B, D)

Day 3 – Washington Island

Today features a full-day trip to Washington Island, sitting at the tip of Door County, where your hectic pace becomes a distant memory as you spend the day on “Island Time!” Our day starts with a five-mile ferry ride across where Green Bay and Lake Michigan meet. Once on land, our first stops are made at Washington Harbor and Schoolhouse Beach, one of the areas most beautiful examples of its stone beaches and clear blue waters. Then we head to the Farm Museum, a living history museum offering a look into the unique history of farming in Door County. We’ll also visit Washington Island’s Stav Church, a wonderful example of the history and presence of Norwegians that settled this area before our lunch at Findlay’s, a local favorite spot. Then, shop like the islanders at Mann’s Mercantile, filled with local goods and souvenirs. Our day on Washington Island ends with our ferry back to the mainland. We’ll also visit and tour Seaquist Orchards Farm Market, one of Door County’s most popular orchards and fresh roadside markets before enjoying a delicious evening meal together. (B, L, D)

Day 4 – Door County / New Glarus, WI

This morning we make stops in lovely Sister Bay, the handcrafted Norwegian Bjorklunden Chapel, scenic Cave Point and say goodbye to our local, step-on tour guide back in Sturgeon Bay. This afternoons travels take us to the quaint Wisconsin town of New Glarus, known as America’s Little Switzerland. Here we check-in to our Swiss-style accommodations along with an authentic dinner and entertainment at the Chalet Landhaus, located in the center of New Glarus. (B, D)

Day 5 – Return Home

Today we make our way back home with special memories and new friendships made during our time discovering Wisconsin and Door County! Enjoy some free time to shop, dine and stretch your legs in Iowa’s Amana Colonies before arriving back at your initial pick-up points. (B)
