Day 1 – Welcome / Elkhart, IN
Meet your Moostash Joe Tour Director and Driver at one of our many convenient pick-up points and head east! Our travel day takes us to Elkhart, IN, where you’ll have the evening to spend at your leisure.
Day 2 – Put-in-Bay / Lake Erie
Today finds us in Put-in-Bay, a one-of-a-kind island on Lake Erie! We’ll “jet” across Lake Erie aboard the Jet Express en route to Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island. Here, we explore this fun island on our narrated island trolley tour and enjoy lunch at a local favorite spot. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure in downtown Put-in-Bay. A return trip off the island and a short drive to the Cleveland suburbs finishes our day. (B, L)
Day 3 – Flight 93 National Memorial / Philadelphia
Today’s travels take us further east. We’ll stop at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Stoystown, honoring the 40 passengers and crew aboard Flight 93, thwarting the attack on the U.S. Capitol. Later this afternoon we arrive in the Philadelphia area and enjoy an evening meal together. (B, D)
Day 4 – Philadelphia / Altantic City
Enjoy our day in the historic city of Philadelphia, where echoes of liberty resound in every cobblestone. We’ll start with a guided tour of Independence Hall, where the founding ideals of freedom and demogracy were forged. Marvel at the Liberty Bell; its silent crack is a powerful symbol of resilience and justice. We’ll also take a one-hour “Story Stroll” with a local guide, which also includes a visit to the Betsy Ross House. Then, continue to Altantic City, world-renowned for it’s shopping, entertainment and the famed Boardwalk. Enjoy free time here to explore the shops, try your luck at a casino or savor seaside treats. Our day ends in the picturesque Victorian town of Cape May, where we check-in to our centrally located accommodations just steps from the Atlantic Ocean and the beach! (B, D)
Day 5 – Cape May, NJ / Rehoboth Beach, DE
Awaken in beautiful Cape May! Known for its stunning Victorian architecture and coastal charm. Enjoy a leisurely trolley tour this morning, showcasing the historic district’s ornate homes, gardens and scenic views. We’ll visit the iconic Cape May Lighhouse area, featuring panoramic ocean vistas and rich wildlife habitats. Then we board the scenic Cape May-Lewes Ferry for our 85-minute cruiseacross Delaware Bay, connecting the New Jersey peninsula and Delaware. Upon arrival in Lewes “The First Town in the First State,” enjoy a guided tour of this fascinating and charming town. Visit Fort Miles at Cape Henlopen State Park, one of the nation’s most important East Coast defensive fortifications during WWII. This afternoon arrive in charming Rehoboth Beach, known for its pristine sandy shores and vibrant boardwalk culture, and our two-night stay right next to the boardwalk, beach and Atlantic Ocean! Dinner tonight will be at a local favorite spot. (B, D)
Day 6 – Rehoboth Beach / Sightseeing Cruise
After breakfast, take the time to fully experience the delightful seaside atmosphere of Rehoboth Beach! Relax along the sandy shoreline, shop at charming boutiques and eclectic galleries, or savor delicious coastal cuisine at the many inviting eateries lining the boardwalk. Later, we embark on a scenic cruise taking in the stunning views of popular attractions such as the East End Lighthouse, Cape Henlopen Point and more, and perhaps see some dolphins frolicking along the way! Enjoy an evening meal together before the rest of the day is yours to stroll along the boardwalk or simply soak in the tranquility and charm of your coastal surroundings. (B, D)
Day 7 – Rehoboth Beach / Wheeling, WV
Enjoy one more relaxing morning along the beach before departing and beginning our journey home. Today’s travels take us through Appalachia to Wheeling, WV, our home for the night. (B, D)
Day 8 – Travel Day / National Museum of the U.S. Air Force
Continue east today, stopping to stretch our legs at Dayton’s fascinating National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. Tonight finds us near Champaign, IL, where we’ll have the chance to relax and enjoy Drury’s great “Kickback” – where complimentary food and drinks are available. (B, D)
Day 9 – Return Home
Spend one last day reminiscing with your fellow travelers and newly made friends! We’ll make a stop for a chance to enjoy lunch, shop and stroll in Main Amana, IA on your own before making our way back to your initial pick-up points with fond memories of your tour to Delaware, Philadelphia and Atlantic City!
