February 16 – Welcome / Two Frogs
Meet your Moostash Joe Tour Director and Driver at one of our convenient pick-up points and travel south today, with our final destination being Ardmore, OK, where we come together for an evening meal at the fun Two Frogs Grill. (D)
February 17 – Dallas, TX / Southfork Ranch
Continue south this morning to Dallas, TX. A full day awaits! We’ll first meet our local, knowledgeable step-on guide, who will be with us the entire day. Our first stop is to tour the home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, AT&T Stadium. Opened in 2009, this famed 80,000+ seat stadium features a retractable roof and one of the world’s largest high definition video screens. Lunch will be waiting for us at a local favorite before we continue our sightseeing in Dallas to include the Old Red Courthouse, JFK Memorial and more. This all culminates into an evening at Southfork Ranch – known as the “World’s Most Famous Ranch!” Made famous by the television series, Dallas, we’ll be escorted around the property before enjoying a special “Bobby’s Barbeque” Brisket Dinner inside Bobby’s Boardroom! February 18 – George H.W. Bush Presidential Library / Houston, TX
Today’s travels take us to College Station, TX, where we’ll spend a good part of our afternoon the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum. The museum’s core exhibits reveal the unique influences and challenges that shaped George Bush’s life and presidency, with a special section dedicated to First Lady Barbara Bush and her efforts in the White House. This evening is in Houston and the opportunity to enjoy Drury’s great Kickback – where complimentary food and drinks are available. (B, D)
February 19 – Space Center Houston / Galveston Harbor Cruise
After acquainting ourselves with Houston this morning with our local step-on guide, we’ll visit Houston’s renowned Space Center. Space Center Houston is a leading science and space exploration learning center featuring many comprehensive exhibits and experiences. Later this afternoon finds us in Galveston, TX on the water for our exciting Galveston Harbor Cruise! We’ll also enjoy an evening meal together at a local favorite spot! (B, D)
February 20 – Corpus Christi, TX
We’ll continue down the Gulf Coast today towards Corpus Christi, Texas and check-in to our beachfront accommodations! We’ll also head to the nearby USS Lexington to tour the WWII aircraft carrier and naval museum before enjoying an evening meal at the waterfront seafood shack, Pier 99 Restaurant. (B, D)
February 21 – King Ranch / San Antonio Riverwalk
A special day is planned as we first make our way to massive King Ranch, covering 825,000 acres – more land than the state of Rhode Island! Enjoy a guided historical tour where we’ll encounter both wildlife and livestock, and enjoy a Cowboy BBQ Lunch on the grounds. This afternoon we arrive in San Antonio and check-in for our two-night stay right on the Riverwalk! Take the famed Riverwalk Boat Cruise and spend the rest of your evening exploring this fun area! February 22 – San Antonio, TX
A full day under the warm San Antonio sun awaits! We’ll Remember the Alamo, Texas’ most visited historic landmark among many other must-do activities! (B, L)
February 23 – Texas Hill Country / Fredericksburg, TX
Our drive to Texas Hill Country takes us to Fredericksburg – known for its German heritage and abundance of wineries. Visit the acclaimed National Museum of the Pacific War and spend some free time on Historic Main Street. Then continue through beautiful Hill Country where we’ll get the chance to taste some wines from a local winery. We spend some more time winding our way through Hill Country, making sure to stop in Luckenbach, before enjoying an evening meal together and checking-in to our downtown Fredericksburg accommodations. February 24 – Waco, Texas and Magnolia Market at the Silos
Say goodbye to beautiful Hill Country this morning en route to Waco, Texas. Upon arrival, enjoy plenty of free time for shopping at Magnolia Market at the Silos – made famous by HGTV’s hit show, Fixer Upper. This afternoon we join our local tour guide for a “Fixer Upper”-themed guided tour of Waco, Texas – where we’ll make our way around town to see some of Chip and Jo’s “fixed-up” houses. Continue north later this afternoon and enjoy an evening meal at Fort Worth’s renowned Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que. (B, D)
February 25 – Fort Worth Stockyards / Bricktown, OKC
Learn about the history of the Fort Worth Stockyards with our local step-on guide, witness it’s Cattle Drive and explore Billy Bob’s Texas, the world’s largest Honky Tonk. This afternoon we visit the outdoor Oklahoma City National Memorial – honoring the victims, survivors, rescuers and all who were affected by the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. Then, enjoy excellent accommodations next to all the action and an evening at your leisure in the up-and-coming Bricktown neighborhood. (B)
February 26 – Return Home
Spend one last day reminiscing with your fellow travelers about your Best of Texas Tour! Say goodbye to your Moostash Joe Tour Director and Driver as you arrive back at your initial pick-up point this afternoon and evening. (B)
