Day 1 – Welcome / St. Louis Metro
Welcome to your Moostash Joe Tour! This evening, we arrive in the St. Louis Metro, just across the Mississippi River at the Drury Inn & Suites in Fairview Heights, IL. Here, spend some time to relax and get to know your fellow travelers during Drury’s great “Kickback” – where complimentary food and drinks are available. (D)
Day 2 – Birmingham, AL
Today’s drive takes us to Birmingham, Alabama. Warmer temperatures await! You’ll have another opportunity to relax and enjoy Drury’s “Kickback” tonight. (B, D)
Day 3 – Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A / Beach Time
Be greeted with your first view of the Gulf with lunch at The Back Porch! This local favorite, beachfront, seafood restaurant located in Destin will soon be one of your favorites! Then we travel Florida’s beautiful, scenic Highway 30A. Wind your way along the coast and through the areas charming communities. Later this afternoon you’ll get to enjoy some much needed beach time on the Gulf’s beautiful white sand beaches right outside our hotel which sits right on the beach. (B, L)
Day 4 – Beach Time / Ocala, FL
Wake up to the sounds of the ocean and enjoy a leisurely morning before check-out. Take a stroll along the beach or just relax and take in the views with a cup of coffee. A short days drive finds us in Ocala, where we’ll sit down and enjoy an evening meal together. (B, D)
Day 5 – Ocala Horse Farm Tour / Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre
This morning, enjoy a guided insiders tour through one of Ocala’s working Horse Farms and discover why Marion County is the “Horse Capital of the World!” Here, you’ll see why Marion County produces famous, championship horses like Triple Crown Winner American Pharaoh! Continue south this afternoon towards Fort Myers. Upon arrival, we’ll take our seats at Florida’s Premier Dinner Theatre – the Broadway Palm – for a delicious meal and excellent Broadway-like entertainment! (B, D)
Day 6 – Everglades Airboat Tour / Key West, FL
See the Florida Everglades first hand on your Everglades Airboat Tour! Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife on this thrilling 60-minute guided tour through this beautiful ecosystem. Also while you’re here, enjoy a hot boxed lunch and time to view their alligator and wildlife exhibits. Later this afternoon enjoy the scenic drive down Highway 1 through the Keys to Key West where we check-in for our two-night stay! Enjoy a relaxing evening to spend at your leisure. (B, L)
Day 7 – Key West, FL
A great opportunity for us to spend an entire day in Key West! Here you’ll have plenty of time to dine, shop or simply to enjoy the nice, warm weather at your leisure. We’ll also experience one of Florida’s most popular attractions and hop on the world famous Conch Tour Train for your 60-minute guided tour. No trip to Key West is complete without a tour on the Conch Tour Train. For our evening meal, we’ll stop at a local restaurant in the Keys in time to watch the beautiful Florida sunset over the Gulf. Day 8 – Florida’s East Coast / Dixie Crossroads Restaurant
After a leisurely morning we head out of the Keys and head north along Florida’s east coast. Our evening meal is at world famous Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant, just outside of Cape Canaveral, to enjoy Florida’s finest, southern-inspired seafood. (B, D)
Day 9 – Daytona International Speedway / St. Augustine, FL
This morning finds us at one of the most iconic sports venues of them all, Daytona International Speedway. Home to the Daytona 500, you’ll experience the 31-degree high banks for yourself as we coast along turns 3 and 4 before walking in the footsteps of legends past and present atop the victory podium. This afternoon our local step-on guide takes us around St. Augustine, Florida – known for its colonial architecture and for being the oldest continuously inhabited European-established settlement in the continental U.S.! Day 10 – Chattanooga, TN
Continue north through Georgia, Atlanta and to beautiful Chattanooga, Tennessee, tucked between the mountains of Southern Tennessee. Relax this evening after a day on the road. (B, D)
Day 11 – Kentucky Dam Village / St. Louis
Enjoy lakeside views during lunch at Harbor Lights restaurant inside Kentucky Dam Village State Park before continuing onto St. Louis. This evening, you’ll have the chance to enjoy Drury Inn’s great “Kickback” – where complimentary food and drinks are available. (B, L, D)
Day 12 – Return Home
Spend one last day with your fellow travelers and hopefully a sun tan from your tour to beautiful Florida! Say goodbye to your Moostash Joe Tour Director and Driver as you arrive back at your initial pick-up point this afternoon and evening. (B)
