Day 1 – Travel Day / St. Louis Metro
Welcome to your Moostash Joe Tour! Meet us at one of our many convenient pick-up points and enjoy one of our signature, delicious rolls as you make your way towards the St. Louis metro. Early this evening, get a glimpse of the Gateway Arch and Downtown St. Louis before checking in to the Drury Inn & Suites in Fairview Heights, IL. Relax and enjoy the company of your fellow travelers during Drury’s great “Kickback” – where complimentary food and drinks are available. (D)
Day 2 – Paducah, KY / Beachaven Winery
Today we make our way to Paducah, where we’ll enjoy a brief tour of this quaint, creative town in northwest Kentucky, as well as lunch at a local favorite restaurant. Then, acquaint yourself with the National Quilt Museum, home to some of the finest quilt and fiber art in the world! Upon arrival in Clarksville later this afternoon, be greeted to the south with a tour and tasting at Beachaven Winery, one of the largest wineries in the state of Tennessee and the only one that produces French Method Champagne. Dinner tonight will be a treat with southern barbecue and authentic Bluegrass music. (B, L, D)
Day 3 – Storytellers Museum & Hideaway Farm / Old Glory Distillery
This morning is spent at the Storytellers Museum and Hideaway Farm, where Johnny Cash used to escape from public life, and a must-stop for anyone interested in knowing more about the man behind the country music icon, as well as the region’s rich history. Lunch will also be provided before a return trip to Clarksville. After returning, we will stop at the Old Glory Distillery to enjoy a tour, tasting and cocktail contest from this local spirits maker. This evening is at your leisure. (B, L)
Day 4 – Dolly Parton’s Stampede
Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel before making your way towards the Smoky Mountains. Later this afternoon, arrive and check-in to the new Drury Plaza Hotel, your home for the next three nights located at the foothills of the Smokies. Tonight take part in Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Attraction, featuring a mouthwatering meal, magnificent horse-riding, friendly competition and a whole lot of fun! (B, D)
Day 5 – Great Smoky Mountains National Park / Comedy Barn Theater
The highlight for many of you, this entire morning is spent with your very own step-on guided tour of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Witness first-hand the natural beauty of this world-renowned park with unique insight from our guide. The tour concludes in the mountain town of Gatlinburg where you’ll have free time for lunch and a little bit of shopping. We will ride the “Chondola” up to Anakeesta, a chair lift or gondola ride to a beautiful mountain view overlooking Gatlinburg – a must do for any visitor – before returning to your hotel. Dinner this evening features some of the best southern food at Applewood Farmhouse Restaurant and reserved seats to the Comedy Barn Theater Show. (B, D)
Day 6 – Dollywood / Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud
This morning we head to nearby Dollywood! We’ll be there during their Festival, where great shows, music, crafts and more abound in the park. An evening packed with fun and entertainment includes the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud and reserved seats to the Country Tonite Theater Show! (B, D)
Day 7 – Goo Goo Shop / General Jackson Showboat
After breakfast depart for your short drive west towards Nashville. Upon arrival, it won’t be too hard to find live music on Broadway, where you’ll have plenty of free time for lunch on your own and to enjoy the sights and sounds of Music City, USA. Then we satisfy our sweet tooth at the Goo Goo Shop, home of the original Goo Goo Cluster and our own Sweets & Treats Party-Style Dessert Tasting! Later this afternoon finds us at the Johnny Cash Museum for an intimate look at the country music icon before an enjoyable evening aboard the General Jackson Showboat, complete with a delicious dinner and live entertainment! Day 8 – Nashville / Grand Ole Opry
Today is packed with Nashville’s must-do’s. First thing this morning we visit the Historic RCA Studio B for a tour and recording before stopping at the Country Music Hall of Fame. Then, try some of Nashville’s finest local spirits at Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery. All of this is culminating to a delicious dinner at Santa Fe Cattle Company and the show that made country music famous, The Grand Ole Opry. (B, D)
Day 9 – Belle Meade Plantation
Before leaving “Music City” this morning – stop at Belle Meade Plantation where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of the 1853 Greek-Revival Mansion, wine-tasting and access to the beautiful property once known as America’s premier Thoroughbred Horse Farm. Begin your drive north towards St. Louis where you have another opportunity to enjoy the Drury Inn Kickback as you spend the night in the St. Louis metro this evening. (B, D)
Day 10 – Return Home
Hit the road this morning and continue to make your way home. Spend today reminiscing with your newly made friends about your Smoky Mountain Discovery! Say goodbye to your tour director, driver and fellow passengers as you arrive back at your pick-up point early this evening. (B)
